just as had been rumored of late, Apple has today refreshed the iPad pro with a couple of interesting additions. one of those is support for a new Magic Keyboard accessory that also has a trackpad, although that won’t be available for another couple of months.
As for the iPad Pro, it will ship with an A12Z Bionic processor, making it a lot more powerful than a ton of notebook computers.
There will also be a new cam variety around the back, with a LiDAR Scanner built in for improved depth-sensing.
The new iPad pro adds an Ultra large camera, studio-quality mics and a breakthrough LiDAR Scanner that delivers cutting-edge depth-sensing capabilities, opening up a lot more pro workflows and supporting pro photo and video apps. This new LiDAR cam is likely to also appear on the iphone 12 pro later this year, too.
More interesting to us is the new keyobard that is not only backlit for the first time, but will also have a trackpad built into it. Oh, and it will have some form of floating mechanism to raise the iPad up. To say it looks funky is an understatement, but it won’t be available until May.
Apple today also introduced the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro. With a floating design with smooth angle adjustment, a backlit keyboard and trackpad, the Magic Keyboard delivers the best typing experience ever on iPad. The Magic Keyboard will be available for purchase in May.
The iPad pro is available for buy online now, although you’ll have to wait a little while for it to arrive. Pricing starts at $799 or the 11-inch model, while the 12.9-inch iPad pro starts at $999. Both have 128GB of storage as a starting point, with options available up to 1TB.
